Gotowi na wszystko. Exterminator

A group of good friends has shared a dream since childhood: to shake up the metal scene in Poland and have crowds chant their name during concerts, under the proud name Exterminator. But time has proven how little their youthful ambitions have to do with real life. Marcy, the band leader, now works at his father’s store and his relationship is in crisis. Lizzy, the guitar virtuoso, has a low-level job in a bank. The third band member, Jaromir, punches the clock at a polyurethane foam factory and struggles to meet his responsibilities as a father. The drummer, Makar, has ended up in a psychiatric facility. But one day their old dreams come back to life: the town mayor is willing to help them out with an EU subsidy if they manage to get the band back together. But of course, there’s a catch… “The film was born from nostalgia,” says director Michał Rogalski in an interview. Audio cassettes, watching ALF, small computer stores—all this and more in a very human film that’s full of warm humor, but at times also genuinely touching.
