Two groups of teenagers, representing totally different backgrounds and value systems, meet at a scout camp. What was meant to be a lesson in responsibility and tolerance turns into a dog-eat-dog fight for supremacy and proving a point. Noble ideals are brutally confronted with a “survival of the fittest” mentality. The conflict between the boys gets worse each day, and ends in tragedy with the death of one of the scouts. The police see it as an unfortunate accident, but not everyone agrees: Jacek, the camp leader, decides to start his own investigation, suspecting one of the boys from the rival group. The teenagers’ repressed emotions start to get out of hand, often taking over completely. Robert Gliński, the acclaimed Polish director of Cześć, Tereska and Kamienie na szaniec, once again examines the world of teenagers. This time he takes on the conventions of suspense thrillers, working within the framework of the genre. He guides his young actors with a steady hand, in a story about the thin line between good and evil.
